internet explorer issue: do you want to allow this website to open an app on your computer

Question

Hi,

We have an issue with Internet Explorer 11 in Windows 10.

When opening an internal application website (from Siebel) a pop-up occurs:

Do you want to allow this website to open an app on your computer?

The machine is a Windows 10 Enterprise machine (1803) and Internet Explorer is needed because it is a robot process automation machine. The robot stops because of this pop-up.

How can this pop-up be prevented/surpressed?

Thanks

Hi ,

Allow active contents to run automatically in Internet Properties and then check if it helps.

Hi ,

In Change User Account Control settings, drag the scroll button to Never notify.

If the issue still persists, try to reset IE.

Note: The Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature might reset security settings or privacy settings that you added to the list of Trusted Sites. The Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature might also reset parental control settings. We recommend that you note these sites before you use the Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature. You would also have to re-enable add-ons after performing reset on Internet Explorer.
