Hi,
If you refer to "Visual Studio for Mac" (rather than "Visual Studio Code for Mac"), it doesn't support extensions yet. The Visual Studio Marketplace only offers extensions for Visual Studio for Windows, Visual Studio Code and Visual Studio Team Services:

My portal and blog about VSX: http://www.visualstudioextensibility.com; Twitter: https://twitter.com/VSExtensibility; MZ-Tools productivity extension for Visual Studio: https://www.mztools.com

Hi Vojin Stefanović,
According to your question is more related to Installation of VS, I will move it to Visual Studio Setup and Installation forum for suitable support.
The Visual C# discuss and ask the C# programming language, IDE, libraries, samples and tools.
If you have some grammar or code errors, please feel free to contact us. We will try our best to give you a solution.
Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.
Best Regards,
Wendy

This is over a year ago and still no progress? How can this be called "Visual Studio Community" and when the entire Mac community is marginalized?
All I want is better syntax highlighting...
