Hi hsrc,

I have checked the SHA-1 value of your visual studio, and it is correct.

So have follow the below tips before installing visual studio?

1.Ensure that all of the pre-release(Beta or CTP versions) components on your machine have been removed

2.Disable your Anti-Virus or Anti-Spyware software

3.Be sure that your OS has been "patched" up - Update your computer (Windows)

4.Complete or dismiss Windows Update before installation. Please don’t forget to turn it on later.

5.Make sure that the installation media is healthy. If the installation from disc drive is not working well, you can try copying the contents of the disc to the hard disk and installing from the hard disk.

If no, please follow these tips and run the setup as administrator.

If it can’t help, I think I need more information to troubleshoot, please use  http://aka.ms/vscollect to gather the installation logs. After using it, you will find vslogs.cab from %temp% folder. Please upload the file to https://skydrive.live.com/ and share the link here.

Best Regards,

Was this ever solved?

We are using Entrust and somehow it causes problems with the install of Visual Studio.  We have to uninstall Entrust, install Visual Studio, and then reinstall Entrust.

Hope this helps.

Hmm, not sure if this is the same issue or not, but I was getting a "The system cannot find the file specified." error for several files when doing an offline installation.  I'm not certain on the reason, although it seems like the installer was looking for the wrong hash on the files, and trying to download them from the internet... even though they were actually in the "packages" folder.

After a couple of attempts with the extracted ISO (including mounting it), I ran the vs_enterprise.exe with the "/layout" switch (while online) and it created a true offline installer for me.  The only way I was able to install it offline without the "/layout" switch was with a script I created to install the "missing" files manually.

Windows 7, Visual Studio 2015

I am working a VS 2015 install and have at least one of the same errors.  The dialog states that it cannot find:  E:\package\SSDT\SSDTDBSvcExternals

It provides a drop down so I can select the place where to find it.  I have been unable to find that/those file(s) so I can download them and make it/them available.

This is an install on a government isolated system so I cannot connect to the internet.
