I need to work with a very old computer where Windows 98 is installed. The computer starts and works, but does not respond to the connection of USB drives, does not recognize them, although USB controllers are visible in Device Manager.
How can I fix this flaw?

Windows 98 does not come with drivers for USB drives. In those days a USB drive would usually come with its own specific driver to install.
