Question

We have several users who are having periodic issues when emailing outside users. We have cleared the cache and recreated the email addresses in the to field outlook puts the single quotes on it again. We have moved to exchange 2013 with outlook 2010 from Exchange 2010. It was a clean install and we used *pst to migrate the data in the mailbox on an individual basis. Any thoughts on how to fix this would be great as their are so many other forums with different answers all of which none have worked. Thanks

Hi,
I'm afraid there is no method to get rid of the single quotes around email addresses. The single quotes mean that the address is not in your contacts folder or the sender's contacts folder. If you click the To button and select a contact from your contact folder, there won't be any single quotes. Moreover, if a message arrives with the address in quotes and you reply, outlook uses the quotes and never checks your contacts.
