Test Case Tracking in SharePoint

Question

Thursday, July 7, 2016 6:52 PM

I am looking to create and store test cases in SharePoint which users can go in and log their results directly into. I am planning to do this with a SharePoint list but am not sure how it will work with multiple users needing to execute the same test case. Has anyone done something similar in the past and can provide guidance? Maybe there's a better solution for how to track test cases in SharePoint?

Hi KellBH16,

Per my knowledge, they should enter new records for each test case instead of edit the same record.

Create a choice or lookup column for cases in task list.

Then when a user creates a record, he should be able to select one case and fill out his process.

Best Regards,

Are you expecting each user to edit the same record, and the same fields for each record, or will they be entering new records for each test case?
