Like the title says I've created two server 2008 R2 SP1 machines and they are missing drivers something which never happened on srv 2012 before. Missing drivers seem to be vmbus, acpi which leads me to believe integration services are not installed although It automatically checks the integration services box on deployment and I'm sure I haven't unticked it

Hello Visa Radu,
Thank you for your response. Please let me know if you have tried the steps suggested in the article given in my previous post. Also, please check the properties of these devices and check driver details, Hardware IDs or Compatible IDs, they will show the following:
•vmbus\4487b255-b88c-403f-bb51-d1f69cf17f87}
•vmbus\3375baf4-9e15-4b30-b765-67acb10d607b}
•vmbus\99221fa0-24ad-11e2-be98-001aa01bbf6e}
•vmbus\f8e65716-3cb3-4a06-9a60-1889c5cccab5}
If these are the Hardware IDs, The unknown devices are harmless and can be ignored.
Thanks,
Syed Irfan Hussain

Hello Visa Radu,
1. How did you conclude that these drivers were missing on your Server 2008R2?
I suggest that you run the steps provided in this article and check if the issue is fixed:

Hi,
According to your description, it seems that you mentioned the Hyper-V VMs instead of Azure VMs, right? If yes, maybe you can ask in Hyper-V forum for professional assistance:
http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/home?forum=winserverhyperv
By the way, if I misunderstood anything, please feel free to let me know.
Best regards,
Susie

This is an Azure machine actually I have 4 Azure VM's all with 2008 R2 sp1 and all with the same missing drivers. VMBUS a few times with different hardware ID and another one with ACPI\Hyper_V_Gen_Counter_V1 + *Hyper_V_Gen_Counter_V1. I've read some posts which were suggesting to install integration services, I've tried to uninstall and re-detect the devices. Haven't bothered to much with this issue yet cause they are not affecting functionality in any way,
