how to turn off secure print

Question

One of our clients has a Konica Minolta network printer that is set up to use secure printing, where a client ID and client PIN are required to send the print job to the printer.

80% of the PCs there have secure boot disabled, except for 1 PC, where secure print is set up but we want to disable secure print.

I've looked at the printer settings of a PC where secure print is disabled, and they seem to be the same as the PC where we are trying to disable secure print.

How do we turn off secure print on a Windows PC?

I found the answer.

I made sure I was installing the printer as a domain administrator. In printer properties > configure > I set "always on secure print" to "off".

If this is one PC from many have tried removing that printer from the user \ PC, and then install it again?

Hi Mr Happy,

The printer is installed on a Windows server.

I uninstalled the printer from the workstation, browsed to the \server, installed the printer again, but performing a test print prompts us for a secure ID and PIN.
