Can't see my colleague's shared calendar in Outlook

Question

Hello,

I cannot see my colleague's shared calendar. We are all connected to our Exchange 2010 server and are using Outlook 2010. It was working a few weeks ago and all other colleagues can see his calendar. I can also see it, but only on Outlook Web Access. When I try Outlook, it gives me a 'no connection' error in the calendar tab when trying to connect. All other colleagues' calendars are ok with my Outlook, just this one. Any suggestions would help since we cannot effectively plan appointments together now.

Regards

Jacob

Hi,

This issue occurs when an internal recipient is also in your Contacts list in Outlook 2010.

To work around this issue, could you please ask you colleague share his calendar again to you? To do this, follow these steps

1.

In the Sharing invitation, click the To button. The Select names window opens.

2.

In the Address , select Global Address List .

3.

In the Search box, type the recipient's name.

4.

Select the recipient to whom you want to send the invitation, and then click To .

5.

Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each internal Exchange recipient to whom you want to send the invitation.

6.

Click OK , and then click Send .

Please remember to click “Mark as Answer” on the post that helps you, and to click “Unmark as Answer” if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.

Re-assisg oermission to your account in shared calander and test it again. Restart your outlook and wait for some time to reflect it.

Hi Jerome,

I have the same problem, I do have the colleague in my contacts, but her name isn't quite the same as shown in our Global Address Book (first name and surname are in opposite orders) and I didn't even store her email in the contact. So I don't see how the cause, in my case could be "when an internal recipient is also in your Contacts list in Outlook 2010.".  Also, I don't remember her ever sharing her availability with me. It is not necessary to do this within our company, it is the default. We only need to share with people outside the company.

I have Outlook 2010. The colleague is in the same network and using same mail server (Exchange). I can't see her availability, hardly ever.

Any help would be very mucha appreciated.
