Hello,
Need urgent help with Failover Clustering on Windows Server 2012 R2 host. Quorum disk assigned, shared disk assigned, Cluster created successfully. However, keep on getting the error 1196 on the cluster nodes stating they aren't able to connect with the DNS server. We have correct DNS servers assigned, ping works fine to Gateway, DNS and other machines on network. However, this error. We are working on a production cluster setup.
Also, we keep on getting this error where "Application Experience" service stops on its own and the suggestion is to reboot the machine.
urgent help required. Kindly advise ASAP !!

If you need urgent assistance, your best option is to open a case with Microsoft support. This is not a Microsoft support forum. It is a volunteer forum.
" I dont find any Security tab"
You need to look at the properties of DNS records in the DNS management console.

Hi Karan,
From memory, have a look at the security tab of the 'A' record in DNS for the clustered resource name. In order for this record to be updated, the cluster itself needs read and write permission to update this object.
For example, if clustered resource is called 'Resource1' running on cluster 'Cluster1', then in DNS, find the host ('A') record for 'Resource1' and ensure that on the security tab of that record that 'Cluster1' (computer object in Active Directory for the cluster) has read and write permissions.
Hope this helps.

thank you for the reply Adrian!!
I checked for the Security tab for Resource1 and 2 both and even for the Cluster1, and I only find 'Hosts' tab. I dont find any Security tab. also, I'm logged in using Domain\Administrator account on AD and cluster host.

**"**We have correct DNS servers assigned," Is this an AD-integrated DNS or is it a separate DNS?

AD and DNS reside on the same server.
