Hi Guys,
In order to configure both Domain Controller, I would have to temporarily have 2 DHCP running in parallel on the same network.
Would the second DHCP cause an issue ?

Yes and no... it depend.
What is parallel ?
Are you talking about High Availability or is it 2 différents DHCP that provide different scopes ?
Your subject is DHCP High Availability... is your DHCP Servers are Windows 2012 at least ? Have you look to implement the new DHCP Failover that comes with Windows 2012 ?

Hi Sid_BK,
>In order to configure both Domain Controller, I would have to temporarily have 2 DHCP running in parallel on the same network.
Domain controllers' count does not have direct relationship with DHCP servers' count, and generally, it's recommended to configure static IP settings for DCs.
Could you explanation more about the statement if I didn't understand correctly?
>Would the second DHCP cause an issue ?
Two standalone DHCP servers in the same network will cause issues, since the DHCP clients broadcast discover packets when it require IP settings from DHCP server.
If you mean configure DHCP failover or DHCP split scope with two DHCP servers in the same subnet, then, it's OK.

Anne

Hi Anne,
I successfully configure the DHCP on both D.C, so i am ok at this point.
Second question, after the configuration, both server have a mirror of all the addresses etc.
the second server (DC2) had a red arrow down.
Do i need to select replicate the relationship on the primary DC to fix this ?
Will the above action authorize the second server or i have to physically do this part on DC2?
See screenshot below.
