In my company environment, I sometimes have to update from Windows 7 Enterprise to Windows 10 Enterprise, and I do have an ISO and a valid Key issued to my company for Windows 10 E. However when i run the ISO via DVD it asks for the product which I have but it will not accept it. The error states " this key isn't compatible with this version of windows.
How can I upgrade without a clean install?

Hi ,
You can directly upgrade from Windows 7 enterprise to Windows 10 enterprise using Windows 10 enterprise installation media, download Windows 10 enterprise ISO from volume Licensing Service Center. Please contact your Volume Licensing Service Center to verify whether your volume license key can be used to activate Windows 10 enterprise. They have more resource to help you.
Best regards

Hi ,
Kindly notice that Windows Enterprise edition is different from other editions. Windows Enterprise edition is activated using Volume License. Upgrades to Windows 10 Enterprise are not free. You may perform an in-place upgrade to Windows 10 by purchasing the appropriate Windows 10 Enterprise license and installation media. Please contact your Volume Licensing Service Center for further information.

I have the volume license key and windows 10 enterprise ISO. You're saying that I could only update to 10 Pro first then upgrade to Enterprise by changing the key to the Volume key I have?
