Failed to find the XML file at location

Hi!

In my SP2010-Farm i can find on the server with the application server role following error for all additional installed features in the farm:

Failed to find the XML file at location '14\Template\Features\xyz\feature.xml'

As the features are installed on the WFE why the application server gets that errors? is there a fix?

Just ignore the messages works.

Or, the file feature.xml of feature named xyz does not existed.

Or, the solutions file declare wrong path of feature.xml, so the installer did not copy the feature.xml to correct folder.

More question, are you deploy the project directly from Visual Studio or used the tool in codeplex for packaging ?

xyz is just a synonym for a name of a feature.

the features work without problems on the wfe. they are not deployed on application servers.
what i dont understand why the application server try to find that solutions.

the wsp-package is generated in visual studio and deployed with powershell-scripts.
