What is WinRM Client, is it same as WinRS?

Question

Hi,

What is WinRM Client, is it same as WinRS?

If I understand right the WinRM Service is the remote target, and WinRM Client I think is the box where you run the command from?

What component's do you need on the box where you sit and execute the remote command/script on?

Hi,

WinRM is the “server” component of this remote management application and WinRS (Windows Remote Shell) is the “client” for WinRM, which runs on the remote computer attempting to remotely manage the WinRM server. For more details, please refer to following article.

If any update, please feel free to let me know.
