Question

I'm using Outlook 2016. I want to exchange encrypted email with an external user.
I received a digitally signed email with a certificate and tried to save it to my contacts. I get a message, "The email address in the certificate is not found in the contact's email list. Do you want to continue to add this certificate into this contact?" If I click yes, the contact doesn't store in my contact list, and I don't get an error message.
How do I save the contact with the certificate, so I can send encrypted email?

Hi,
What type of email account are you using? Exchange, POP3, IMAP or Exchange ActiveSync?
Does this issue continue if we create the contact from webmail access?
Can the external user save your certificate in his/her contacts folder?
