Question
Saturday, October 20, 2018 5:45 PM
After pressing F12, It is showing "Windows starting up.." before starting the task sequence(boot2.png). But instead of showing task sequence wizard, it is restarting the machine and going back to "Pending Request ID" page.
I have also done the below verifications:
- Site-> Software Distribution settings
- DP PXE settings
- Boot image settings
- Machine is in the device collection and targeted to the correct task sequence.
- etc..,
Also attaching SMSPXE log file for your reference. Could you please help me out on the same.

This is almost always the result of a missing NIC driver in the boot image. Have you validated that the system being PXE booted has a NIC driver, is getting an IP address and can reach the MP?
These can all be confirmed by opening a command-prompt in WinPE as soon as WinPE starts.

It is an test environment where I have created on my own machine using VMWare.
There are no drivers in the boot image. For a VM machine, how do we add drivers and how to proceed with this. Could you please help me out. Im newbie to SCCM OSD.

@Jason,
Added Drivers in the boot image and updated DP and tried to deploy the OSD but at the client machine, it is skipping and rebooting the machine, routing me to the same page
While the logs are the same as kept above. No change

It doesn't look like you pushed F12 as prompted in your screenshot.

No Jason, that was the screen after F12, loading .wim file and after that we have pop-ups saying... "Windows is starting..." and after loading that we have "Preparing network connections"
While the pop-up "Preparing network connection" appears, it immediately restarts instead of going to Task-Sequence Wizard page.

That's not what happens when you press F12. Your F12 keystroke is not making it to your VM.
