Hello all,
Getting some errors filling my event logs on my SCCM Site server and can't quite figure out what isn't working. To my knowledge everything seems to be working OK, but the error says otherwise. Does anyone know what exactly is broken, and even better how to fix it? Referring to the KB article it lists is next to useless as it doesn't address my event ID at all and doesn't appear to apply to System Center 2012.
Log Name: Application
Source: SMS Server
Date: 1/24/2013 1:45:51 PM
Event ID: 8001
Task Category: SMS_PORTALWEB_CONTROL_MANAGER
Level: Error
Keywords: Classic
User: N/A
Computer: server.site.com
Description:
On 1/24/2013 1:45:51 PM, component SMS_PORTALWEB_CONTROL_MANAGER on computer server.site.com reported: Portal Web Site Control Manager detected PORTALWEB is not responding to HTTP requests. The http error is 12175.
Possible cause: IIS service is not responding.
Solution: Manually restart the W3SVC service on the PORTALWEB.
For more information, refer to Microsoft Knowledge Base article 838891.

Not getting this error anymore after the upgrade to SP1 last week. Thanks for your help though.

I will also add that IIS is running properly and restarting w3svc doesn't help.

What does portlctl.log tell when this is happening?
