Any way to customize the Calendar Overlay color possibilities?

Question

Greetings all,

Does anyone know how we might change the selection of colors available for calendar overlays? Maybe this is accomplished through CSS, or is a part of the theme, or...?

Thanks!

Hi Dave,

The colors are controlled by the css classes ms-acal-color1 to ms-acal-color9.

These are defined in the file LAYOUTS\1033\STYLES\CALENDARV4.CSS from line number 337 onwards.

You could alter the style sheet or preferably add your own style sheet. Alternatively you could inject an override to the style on a single page by using a content editor web part and adding your own <STYLE>...</STYLE> elements.

I hope this helps.

You can use calendar overlay. Overlay means we have to make several view for different category and give different color each view.

Please refer to this link and look at reference section for detail explanation :

I have the same problem.  Using SharePoint online. CEWP with suggested overriding styles does not work.
