Event ID: 8059 : SharePoint foundation is referencing an alternate access mapping that does not exist

In the event log entry:

Alternate access mappings have not been configured.  Users or services are accessing the site http://<domainname> with the URL https://xxx.xx.xx.xxx.
This may cause incorrect links to be stored or returned to users.  If this is expected, add the URL https://xxx.xx.xx.xxx as an AAM response URL.  For more information, see: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=114854"/\>

I don't have this IP adress defined in my AMM but another one - so what's going on

Hi James,

Try to add this IP address to AAM to see if the error still exists. Do you use the static IP or dynamic IP address for your server? If you use the dynamic IP address, then maybe the IP address has changed, please check.

Best Regards.

Hi James,

There is mismatch with User profile service.

stop user profile service and usre profile synch service from 'manage service on server' in central admin.

Then restart both, see that user profile sync service is starting or not.

Let me know if the problem persist.

thanks

Hi Rahul

It's SP foundation - and the User Profile service is not a part of SharePoint Foundation 2010.

Hi Yaiyao

My public IP address is the one it's trying to access - have added it to AAM...... :)
