Training: Instruction to develop new skills.
Request an academic-eligibility review through Azure for Students support, because Microsoft’s public documentation does not provide a searchable institution list or confirm whether New Mansoura University is currently recognized.
Submit the verification case
- Open the dedicated Azure for Students support form: https://aka.ms/azureforstudentssupport This form is the practical route when the Students subscription has not yet been created and therefore cannot be selected in Azure Portal. Microsoft Q&A guidance identifies it as usable without an active Azure subscription.^1^
- Include:
- University: New Mansoura University
- Country: Egypt
- Your institutional email domain—do not publish the complete address in Q&A
- Exact messages: “Unable to confirm your University ID” and “We couldn't verify you are a student”
- Date and approximate time of the latest attempt
- A screenshot with personal information hidden
- A request to confirm whether the university/domain is recognized and to review your academic eligibility
- Keep a current student ID or official enrollment letter available if Support requests it. Do not send identity documents publicly. A matching New Mansoura University report documents the same missing-school and verification symptoms, but it has no accepted resolution confirming that the institution is supported.^2^
A concise ticket description could be:
I am a full-time student at New Mansoura University, Egypt. Azure for Students cannot find my university and returns “Unable to confirm your University ID” and “We couldn't verify you are a student.” My institutional account works with Microsoft 365 and Azure sign-in. Please confirm whether the university/email domain is recognized and review the failed academic verification. I can provide proof of current enrollment through a private support channel if required.
Eligibility and alternative verification
Azure for Students requires the applicant to be at least 18, attend an accredited degree-granting two- or four-year institution full-time, and verify academic status through the institution’s email address. The offer is limited to one subscription per eligible customer.^3^
Microsoft’s published Azure for Students terms do not document a universally available document-upload alternative. Therefore:
- If the signup page itself displays “My school is not listed” or another verification option, use that offered workflow.
- If no such option appears, Support must determine what verification path is available; manual document approval should not be assumed.
- GitHub Student Developer Pack approval does not automatically establish Azure for Students eligibility. The two offers use separate verification processes, so GitHub verification should not be treated as a guaranteed bypass.^4^
University-side follow-up
Contact New Mansoura University’s IT or Microsoft 365 administrator and ask whether its current student email domain is registered correctly for Microsoft academic services. Microsoft recommends contacting the school’s technical support team for organization-managed account matters.^5^
If an Azure subscription later becomes available, an additional support request can be opened from Azure Portal → ? → describe the issue → Create a support request. Subscription-management support is available without a paid technical support plan, although creating a portal ticket requires the applicable subscription or administrative access.^6^
Your successful Azure/Microsoft 365 sign-in only confirms that the institutional account works; it does not by itself complete the separate Azure for Students academic-status check. There is no need to repeat the InPrivate, country-selection, or basic sign-in tests you already completed.
