Startups: Companies that are in their initial stages of business and typically developing a business model and seeking financing.
Hi Ricardo Rossi & thx for join me at Q&A platform,
I assume this two related issues: the failed Microsoft for Startups business verification and the missing Program Support entry point in the new Preview portal.
Microsoft's documentation explicitly lists business verification, credit progression, and portal access problems as responsibilities of Microsoft for Startups Program Support. So this is a program-level issue, not something Azure subscription troubleshooting can necessarily resolve.
The problem is that you've already followed the documented support route, and the Your Microsoft Team / Get program support option isn't available in your portal. Redirecting you to the same dashboard won't help.
There's also an important distinction regarding the credits. The $150,000 shown as potential credits is not an approved credit balance. Your currently unlocked amount is $200, and additional credits depend on the program's verification and progression requirements. However, a failed verification doesn't tell us which business detail Microsoft couldn't validate.
I'd check whether the registered company name, business address, and website domain in your startup profile exactly match your official incorporation records. Even a legitimate Texas corporation can encounter verification problems if the submitted information doesn't match the records used during validation. That's a possibility, not a confirmed explanation for your rejection.
For the support issue, I'd try submitting a request through Azure Help + support specifically describing Microsoft for Startups Preview portal – Program Support entry point missing. If the available categories don't allow a meaningful submission, capture that screen as well. The missing support workflow itself needs to be reported, separately from the verification decision.
I wouldn't recommend creating another startup application, changing the registered account, or attempting a Partner Center verification appeal. Partner Center has a separate verification process, and there's no indication that it applies to this Microsoft for Startups application.
Ur October 23 rejection email, current startup dashboard, and screenshots of the unavailable support options should be enough to identify the case initially. Keep the incorporation and IRS documents ready, but don't upload them publicly to Microsoft Q&A. They should only be submitted through a secure channel provided by the appropriate Microsoft team.
As a volunteer moderator, I can't access the startup verification backend, initiate a manual review, or guarantee an internal escalation. A Microsoft employee with access to the program support process would need to assist with routing this case if the normal submission workflow is unavailable. I'd keep the existing application intact and request a review of the original verification decision, together with assistance accessing the correct Program Support channel.
rgds,
Alex
