An Azure platform as a service offer that is used to deploy web and cloud applications.
Hi Tran The Hung & thx for join me at Q&A platform,
important detail here is that successful Microsoft Academic Verification doesn't automatically mean Azure for Students activation has been approved. These are separate steps. Academic Verification confirms your student status, while Azure still needs to validate account eligibility and complete subscription provisioning.
So the message "Congratulations! Your academic status has been successfully verified" is good news, but it doesn't prove that the Azure subscription activation process succeeded.
There's another detail worth checking. You mentioned trying both your university account and your personal Microsoft account. Microsoft personal accounts and university-managed work or school accounts are different identities, even when they use similar email addresses. It's possible for academic verification to succeed under one identity while the Azure for Students activation attempt is associated with another.
I'd first confirm which exact Microsoft account was signed in when the academic verification succeeded and which account was used when the activation failed. Ideally, both steps should be completed within the same registration session and account context.
The earlier "You're not eligible for an Azure free account" message doesn't necessarily mean you've previously used Azure for Students. It can also indicate a separate account eligibility or verification restriction. And having no subscriptions visible in the Azure portal doesn't conclusively establish that no previous registration or entitlement record exists in Microsoft's backend systems.
You've already tried InPrivate browsing and different accounts, so I wouldn't keep repeating the registration process. At this point, Microsoft needs to investigate the account eligibility and subscription provisioning records.
I'd recommend contacting Azure subscription support and requesting an Azure for Students activation and academic verification investigation. Ask the support team to check whether the successful academic verification is correctly associated with your intended Microsoft account, whether an eligibility restriction exists, and whether a failed or incomplete subscription activation record is preventing further attempts.
You've provided two particularly useful diagnostic details: the session ID a132581a-6c93-4592-b2d1-83b63583f7a9 and the timestamp October 25, 2026, 13:53:50 UTC. Include both in the support request, as they may help Microsoft correlate the failed registration with backend logs.
Azure subscription and account support doesn't require purchasing a paid technical support plan. If the normal support workflow won't let you submit a request because no subscription exists, I'd ask a Microsoft Q&A moderator to help route the case to the appropriate Azure subscription activation team.
One thing I wouldn't recommend is creating additional Microsoft accounts or repeatedly attempting verification with different identities. That can make it harder to determine which account should receive the student benefit. when you received the successful academic verification confirmation, were you signed in with your personal Microsoft account or your @stu.ptit.edu.vn university account? That distinction could help narrow down whether this is an account-linking issue or an Azure-side eligibility restriction.
rgds,
Alex
