Azure for Students - Misdirected to Pay-As-You-Go "Not Eligible" Error

Hello, I am an active student with a verified GitHub Student Developer Pack. When I try to activate Azure for Students, the system misdirects me to the standard free trial page and gives the "Not Eligible for Azure Free Account - switch to Pay-As-You-Go" error. I used a standard Azure trial 2 years ago, which seems to block my current student eligibility detection. I need a manual review to grant my account the Azure for Students subscription. Thank you.

    Hi @YİĞİT ÖZEN

The page you're landing on is the clue. "Not eligible for Azure free account" comes from the free trial sign-up, which is a different offer. Azure for Students has its own sign-up, and Microsoft's page for it verifies you with your school email. It doesn't mention GitHub Student Developer Pack verification at all.

    1. Open the Azure for Students page (azure.microsoft.com/free/students) directly, not the free account page.
    2. Select Start free and sign in with, or verify using, your university email address.
    3. Complete the school verification step there. No credit card should be requested. If it asks for a card, you've ended up on the free trial flow again.
    4. If you start from the GitHub Student Pack link and it keeps sending you to the free trial page, skip it and use the Azure page above.

If the school email verification itself fails, ask your university IT team whether your domain is set up for student offers. Azure for Students is limited to one account per person, so use the same account each time.

Did your earlier free trial use the same Microsoft account you're signing in with now?

If Azure for Students activates, please consider accepting it as the answer. If the school email route also sends you to pay-as-you-go, let me know and I'll be happy to keep helping.
