Dear Microsoft Azure Support Team,

I am currently pursuing my M.Tech in Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity at REVA University, REVA Academy for Corporate Excellence (RACE).

I am trying to activate the Azure for Students offer using my academic email address. However, I receive the following error:

“This email account has already been used for verification this year. If you think this is an error, please contact support.”

I would like to request your assistance in reviewing my academic verification status. I am a current student and would appreciate your help in resolving this issue so that I can access Azure services for my academic learning and cybersecurity projects.

If an existing verification record is preventing activation, please investigate it and advise me on the steps required to complete verification.

I can provide proof of enrollment or my student ID if required.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Best regards, Rajendra Rathod

Hi Rajendra Rathod & thx for join me at Q&A platform,

error "This email account has already been used for verification this year" is quite specific. It suggests Microsoft's academic verification system already has a verification record associated with your university email address.

That doesn't necessarily mean you've successfully activated Azure for Students or used the $100 credit. A previous registration attempt could have completed academic verification without successfully creating an Azure subscription.

I'd first check whether you previously attempted Azure for Students registration using a different Microsoft account. Your university email might have been used to verify student status while you were signed in with a personal Microsoft account, for example.

Also, check whether an Azure for Students subscription already exists under any account you previously used. If it does, the correct approach may be to recover access or check renewal eligibility rather than start another registration.

If this is your first activation and no subscription was ever created, I wouldn't keep retrying verification or create additional Microsoft accounts. The existing verification record needs to be investigated by Microsoft's Azure for Students signup support team.

Ask them to check whether your academic email is associated with an earlier verification attempt, whether a student entitlement was actually issued, and whether the verification record can be reused or requires correction. Only Microsoft can determine whether that record can be reset or updated.

You shouldn't need a paid Azure technical support plan for a student subscription activation issue. If you can't open a support request because you don't have an active subscription, a Microsoft Q&A moderator may be able to help direct you to the appropriate signup support channel.

Also, please don't upload your student ID or enrollment documents publicly. Provide those only through an official Microsoft verification or support process if requested. Have u ever attempted Azure for Students registration before, even if the registration failed, or is this genuinely your first attempt with this academic email? That distinction is important here because the error points to an existing verification record rather than a failure to recognize your university.

    rgds,

    Alex
