The generic Code of Conduct notice does not reveal what you specifically did wrong; post the URL of the deleted question here and ask a moderator to review the deletion and identify the applicable rule.
Automated filtering can incorrectly flag legitimate technical questions. In several comparable cases, moderators reviewed and restored posts that the spam filter had deleted by mistake.^1^^2^
What to provide
Reply with:
- The URL of the deleted question.
- Its title and approximate posting time.
- Whether it disappeared immediately after submission.
- A brief request such as:
Could a moderator review my deleted question and identify the specific rule or content that caused its removal? If it was an automated false positive, please restore it. If a correction is required, please tell me what needs to change.
Do not repost the same question repeatedly while awaiting review, because repeated postings can themselves conflict with the site guidance.^3^
As the author, you can still see your own deleted content with a Deleted label; other users generally cannot. Moderators can inspect the full content, deletion time, who or what deleted it, and the recorded reason. They can also edit or restore content deleted by mistake.^4^^5^
If a Microsoft moderator opens a private conversation, reply through the blue banner or Private messages button on your question. Do not publish account details or other personal information in the public thread.^6^
Until a moderator reviews the actual post, nobody viewing only this message can accurately determine whether there was a genuine violation or an automated false positive.
