An Azure platform as a service offer that is used to deploy web and cloud applications.
Hi Joeremy Christie Ong & thx for join me at Q&A platform,
interesting part here is that the School Name field clears itself before you can complete the registration. That sounds more like a problem with the school's lookup/selection process than a straightforward rejection of your student eligibility.
The field may require you to select a recognized institution from the autocomplete suggestions rather than just typing its name. Try entering part of your university's official name, waiting for the suggestions to appear, and explicitly selecting the matching result.
If the field still clears automatically, try the registration in an InPrivate/Incognito window, preferably using another browser with extensions and autofill disabled. Also check that the country selected in the registration form matches your university's country.
Make sure you're using your university-issued email address and that the institution name matches its official registered name. However, having a valid university email doesn't automatically guarantee that Microsoft's academic verification system recognizes the institution.
If the school never appears in the dropdown, or selecting it immediately clears the field, I'd stop repeating the registration attempts. This could be an issue with the institution lookup service or its verification records, which you can't fix from your side.
You can contact Azure subscription sign-up support through Microsoft's Azure support options and explain that the Azure for Students School Name selector clears automatically, preventing academic verification. This is a sign-up/eligibility issue, not a normal Azure resource support request, so you shouldn't need an existing paid subscription just to report it.
Include your university's official name, country, email domain (not your full email address), a screenshot, and the approximate UTC time of the failed attempt. Don't post your student ID or personal documents publicly.
Given that you need Azure for a school project soon, I'd also check whether your university provides Azure access through an institutional subscription or Azure Dev Tools for Teaching. Those are separate arrangements and may give you another way to access the resources you need.
rgds,
Alex
