ISV (Independent Software Vendors) and Startups: A Microsoft program that helps customers adopt Microsoft Cloud solutions and drive user adoption.
Submit a Microsoft for Startups Program Support case from the Azure portal and request a manual review or retrigger of business verification; verification, application review, and reapplication questions are explicitly handled by that team.^1^
Submit the manual-review request
- Sign in to the Azure portal using the account associated with the startup application.
- Navigate to your Microsoft for Startups startup homepage.
- Open the Overview tab.
- Locate the Your Microsoft Team tile.
- Select Get program support.
- Open a case for business/domain verification or application review, and explicitly request:
- The reason verification could not be completed.
- Manual review or retriggering of verification.
- Permission or instructions to provide additional registration and domain-ownership evidence.
Program Support owns business and domain verification, application status, and reapplication issues.^1^
Attach or provide:
- Startup legal name and website domain.
- Email used to register for the program.
- Azure tenant or subscription ID, if shown.
- Screenshot of “We couldn't verify your startup.”
- Business registration certificate.
- Tax or registry documentation, if applicable.
- Domain registration receipt or other ownership evidence.
- A short explanation of any difference between the registered company name/address, public registry, domain registration, and Startups profile.
Do not post account identifiers or unredacted documents publicly in Microsoft Q&A; provide them only through the private support case.

Subject: Manual review requested — startup verification unsuccessful
Automated business verification displays “We couldn't verify your startup,” and the portal does not provide a resubmission option.
Please identify which information could not be validated and manually review or retrigger verification for our account. We can provide business-registration, tax/registry, and domain-ownership documents.
Startup legal name: [legal name]
Registered account email: [email]
Tenant/subscription ID: [ID, if available]
Website domain: [domain]A screenshot of the verification result and supporting documents are attached.
The portal message itself does not disclose the precise rejection reason, so only Program Support can inspect the application and confirm whether correction, re-verification, or reapplication is available. A closely matching verification case also directs applicants without a portal resubmission option to request manual review and submit supporting documents.^2^
If “Get program support” is not displayed
Since that option is currently unavailable in your view, use the Azure portal’s general support entry point:
- Select the ? icon in the upper-right corner.
- Select Help + support.
- Select Create a support request.
- Describe it as a Microsoft for Startups program/business-verification issue.
- Attach the screenshot and supporting documents, then request routing to Microsoft for Startups Program Support.
The current Azure-portal Startups documentation identifies this as the support-request fallback and permits relevant documents and screenshots to be attached.^3^
Do not create another startup registration while this case is pending; ask support whether the existing application should be reopened or whether a new application is required.
