After repeated attempts to pair my new Mac (running Golden Gate 27 with Xcode 27) from Visual Studio 2026 (.net 10.0), I'm continually getting this error after connecting to my network Mac, it seems there may be a legitimate software bug in this combination:

One or more errors occurred while starting the following Agents: IDB 18.10.4

An error occurred while trying to start IDB 18.10.4

I've repaired maui installs on both Windows and Mac, cleared caches on both machines, to the same result, please advise.

Xcode 27 is not yet supported. You will need to wait for a new release of Maui that supports Xcode 27. Unfortunately golden gate does support Xcode 26 which is supported by the Maui. last year Xcode 26 support was released in October. If you need Maui support now, you will need to erase Golden Gate and install Tahoe.

I’ve seen similar Pair to Mac issues after updates. Checking the Mac connection, network settings, and Visual Studio pairing configuration is a good place to start.

Thank you @Eric Bauer for your question.

As of now, Xcode 27 GA isn't supported with .NET 10. That's why you are getting the IDB startup error here, since IDB is the agent Pair to Mac uses to talk to iOS devices and simulators.

That said, the latest release of .NET 10 does include a preview for Xcode 27 beta 6 (you can find the details here), if you want to try that out. Alternatively, you may want to use older versions of Xcode for now.

If you found my response helpful or informative, I would greatly appreciate it if you could follow this guide for your confirmation. Thank you.
