I have tried the separate method through settings and it doesn't work, nor does the offload or reinstall or delete app. When I click General tab it automatically converts to chat. It's like a glitch

    Hi @ANNETTE WILLIAMS

To better understand the issue, could you please confirm:

    • Is this happening in all teams, or only one specific team?
    • Does the same behavior occur when you access Teams from the desktop app or web browser?
    • Are other users in your organization experiencing the same issue?
    • Are you the owner of the affected channel?

Based on your description, this does not appear to be an iPhone app glitch. The behavior you're seeing is likely related to the layout configured for that channel. Teams channels can use different layouts. The Posts layout uses the traditional post-and-reply format, while the Chat layout provides a more chat-like conversation experience.

If you are the channel owner, try changing the layout from the Teams desktop app or Teams on the web:

    1.Find the affected channel.

    2.Select next to the channel.

    3.Select Manage channel.

    User's image

    4,Under Channel details, select Edit.

    User's image

    5.Change the Layout to Posts.

    6.Save the change.

After changing the channel layout, check the channel again on your iPhone.

If you are not the channel owner and do not have permission to edit the channel, you cannot change its layout yourself. In that case, I recommend asking the team or channel owner to change the layout to Posts using Teams desktop or Teams on the web.
