SQL database Deployment Issues

Hello i'm trying to set up for a SQL server for my university class. I am one of the ones in my class that cannot get my server too deploy. When I set up my server I keep getting this error. I've been troubleshooting trying to fix the error for quite some time now. On my current subscription I only have access to a handful of regions, so i've tried switching too all my allowed regions and I'm still not having any luck.     That error is the free-offer restriction, not a region issue. The simplest fix is to turn off "Apply free offer" on the Compute + storage blade, choose a small tier (Basic or minimal serverless General Purpose), and deploy.

    Hi Grant,

    Instead of trying to use Free offer, please try to create Azure SQL Database Basic, under DTU-based purchasing model in any of your five allowed regions. To do this, on Basics tab of Create SQL Database wizard, click on Configure database next to Compute + storage, for Service tier select Basic, click Apply.

    Back on Basics tab, continue filling out required information, select Locally-redundant backup storage, finish wizard. If you select things correctly you should be able to get costs at about $5/month from your Azure for Students credit.

    Basic provides only 5 DTUs, which isn't much power, but there is good chance it will be okay for your class. If you need more resources you could scale it up to higher tier like S0/S1 later.
