Using Microsoft Teams on macOS, including installation, features, and compatibility
Dear Vijay Babaria,
I agree this would be a very useful enhancement. This feature could be very helpful during important meetings or focused work sessions. It would allow notifications to automatically resume afterward, eliminating the need to remember to turn them back on manually.
Currently, Microsoft Teams on macOS does not provide a built-in option to mute notifications for a set number of minutes. You can manage notification settings in Teams, but temporary timed muting is not available at this time.
Therefore, to ensure your feedback reaches the right teams, I highly recommend submitting your feedback directly to Microsoft Ideas · Community, where the Microsoft product development team can know your requirements and ideas for product improvements. If enough users raise a ticket for the same idea, Microsoft may consider adding this feature in the future.
As a workaround (refer to the AI answer above), if you're using the Teams mobile app, you can configure Quiet time by going to Profile picture > Notifications > Block during quiet hours or Block during quiet days. However, this is intended for scheduled periods and does not currently provide a quick "mute for specific minutes" option. For reference: Quiet time in Microsoft Teams for mobile devices
