When creating an Azure VM from a disk, or even from scratch, the Availability options setting no longer offers Availability set. Obrázek uživatele

Is this intentional, or is it a bug?

Hi Jan,

Availability set option is not in the new Create-VM wizard, You should be able to click Click here to access the previous experience to get old version which still has Availability set option.

You may have noticed that for past couple years or so they have been nudging people towards using VM Scale Sets (VMSS) instead of Availability sets by displaying messages in portal recommending VMSS any time you select Availability set. I see this as a continuation of that.

Please click Accept Answer and upvote if the above was helpful.

Thanks.
