We have the same situation on Office LTSC Standard 2021, and we can't downgrade with clicktorun.

I'm having the same problem with copy-and-paste, as well as issues with cells shifting (Office 16 - Windows 11 64-bit)
Which specific update are you referring to? For example, the KB article at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/servicing/office/hotfix/excel/5002914 discusses an update intended for classic MSI installations. Most recent Office installations are using click-to-run (virtualization) technology instead.
