My hotmail cant receive email from some sender

If only some senders cannot reach the Hotmail address, the problem is often on the sender side, not in the mailbox. That happens when Microsoft rejects the sender’s mail before it reaches the Inbox or Junk folder.

Use this check list in Outlook.com:

1. Check Junk Email and the Other tab.
   • If the messages are there, mark them as not junk.
2. Check Settings > Mail > Junk email.
   • Make sure those addresses or their domain are not in Blocked senders or Blocked domains.
   • Add the sender addresses or domain to Safe senders and domains.
3. Check for rules and forwarding.
   • Verify there are no email rules moving or deleting those messages.
   • Verify email forwarding is not enabled.
4. Check mailbox and cloud storage.
   • If Microsoft cloud storage is full, Outlook.com cannot send or receive email, and messages sent during that time are bounced and unrecoverable.
5. Ask the sender what error they receive.
   • If they get a non-delivery report such as a blocked IP, spam reputation issue, or authentication failure, the fix must be done by their mail administrator or provider.
   • In that case, there is nothing to change in the Hotmail account to force delivery.
6. If the sender is blocked by Microsoft’s mail protection, ask their IT admin to review Microsoft sender troubleshooting guidance and contact sender support if needed.

If the messages never appear in Inbox or Junk, even after checking blocked senders, safe senders, rules, and forwarding, that strongly indicates the sender’s server or domain is being rejected before delivery.
