Hello,

i am trying to get my iPhone set up through the Company Portal app. I get a warning that my phone does not meet the compliance settings but it doesn’t explain what I need to do.

On iPhone, that message usually means the device is failing one or more Intune compliance requirements, and access to work resources can be blocked until the device becomes compliant.

    Try this end-to-end path:

    1. Open the Company Portal app on the iPhone.
    2. Go to Devices.
    3. Select the iPhone.
    4. Tap Check status.

This forces Company Portal to refresh the device settings status. After the check completes, the device status should show whether access to work or school resources is restored.

    If access is still limited:

    1. Open a work app such as Microsoft Teams or Microsoft Outlook and sign in.
    2. If prompted, tap Check compliance to open Company Portal.
    3. Review any pending notifications or requirements.
    4. After updating the required device settings, tap Retry to refresh compliance status.
    5. If Retry fails immediately, wait a few minutes for the changes to register, then try again.

Common compliance checks on iOS can include requirements such as:

    • Device not being jailbroken
    • Device threat level being at or below the level required by the organization
    • Password and screen lock requirements
    • Restricted apps not being installed

If Company Portal still does not show what setting must be changed, contact the organization’s IT support. Support details are available in the Company Portal app for iOS or the Company Portal website.
