Excel Add Ins have disappeared

Hi

My Excel Add ins have disappeared. I have clicked the Add In icon and found the Add In I want, but it doesn't load. If I click the Add More button and search I get a message saying no add ins can be found.

I'm using Excel on an Apple MacBook Pro, macOS Tahoe 26.6.2.

How can I get my Add In back?

Thanks

Steve

Hi

I found the issue. I remembered I had been signed into Excel under a different work ID. When I signed out of that, I could add back the Add In.

On Mac, the supported steps in the available guidance are to reinstall or remove and re-add the Office add-in from Excel.

    Try this:

    1. In Excel, go to Home > Add-ins > More Add-ins.
    2. In the Office Add-ins dialog, open My Add-ins.
    3. If the add-in is listed, select it and choose Add to install it again.
    4. If it still does not appear correctly, in My Add-ins select the add-in and choose Remove.
    5. Then go back to Home > Add-ins > More Add-ins and search the Store tab for the add-in, then select Add.

If the add-in is visible on Home > Add-ins but does not open, double-clicking it from the add-ins list is the documented way to start using it.

If Excel crashes or disables the add-in after installation, one documented cause is compatibility with organization IT policies, where Data Execution Prevention can disable the add-in.
