    1. In Outlook.com, check whether messages are being redirected instead of delivered to Inbox:
      • Settings > Mail > Rules and delete any rule that was not created intentionally.
      • Check Forwarding and make sure mail is not being forwarded elsewhere.
      • Check whether IMAP or POP is enabled for a connected app and disable them if they are causing issues.
    2. Check folders and filters that can hide mail:
      • Open the Other tab.
      • Check the Junk Email folder and Junk Email settings.
      • If messages are in Junk but should not be, right-click them and choose Mark as not junk.
      • Restore sorting with Filter > Sort > Date.
    3. Check whether mailbox storage is full. If Microsoft cloud storage is full, Outlook.com cannot send or receive email, and messages sent during that time are bounced back and unrecoverable.
    4. Review account security after the compromise:
      • Use the sign-in helper if needed.
      • Check account settings such as connected accounts, forwarding, and automatic replies.
      • If the account was hacked, run a full antivirus scan on the PC before changing the password again, then change or reset the password.
    5. If only one device is affected, remove the partnership between that device and the mailbox to fix sync issues.
    6. If mail from blocked senders is still appearing in Inbox, the sender may be changing addresses or hiding the real address. Check message headers and update the blocked senders list or create an inbox rule.
