Windows 11 version 25H2 (repair version) not installing

Hello my laptop had some problems recently and i triec to install the 25H2 repair version and it doesnt install it took too long to install and when it was 99% it startec again and now its giving me an error code 0x80246019 and now its saying something about Microsoft's insider program.

Please help if you can, Thanks.

As the repair version is failing to install, you can alternatively perform repair upgrade using Windows 11 25H2 ISO file.

I did the inplace repair and my windows is going crazy i start task manager it crashes when i click performance and i click to start terminal and it says its not in the location.

What Windows build are you on?

Use WIN+R, type winver for the build #.

Hello Im on 25H2 and i would like to install the repair version because my system was running weird lately.

I am not a part of the Insider program. Thanks for replying

For 0x80246019 after a failed 25H2 repair install, use this order of troubleshooting:

Wait if the device is still actively working at 99%
If there is clear disk activity, let it continue for another hour or two. If it already rolled back and returned an error, continue with the steps below.
Disconnect nonessential hardware
Unplug external devices such as USB drives, printers, scanners, speakers, headphones, and external hard drives. If the laptop is docked, undock it.
Free temporary update files and restart
Since the install already failed once, remove temporary files from previous attempts and restart the PC.
Temporarily remove or disable third-party antivirus/security software
Non-Microsoft antivirus can block Windows upgrades. Make sure the reinstall information or product key is available before uninstalling it.
Install all current Windows updates first
Go to Start > Settings > Windows Update and install all important updates before trying 25H2 again.
Repair Windows image files
Open Command Prompt as administrator and run:

   DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
```

Reset Windows Update components
Warning: this uses administrator command-line steps. Open Command Prompt as administrator and run these commands one at a time:

   net stop bits
   net stop wuauserv
   ren %systemroot%\softwaredistribution softwaredistribution.bak
   ren %systemroot%\system32\catroot2 catroot2.bak
   net start bits
   net start wuauserv

Then restart the PC.

Try the upgrade again from Windows Update
Go to Settings > Windows Update and check again.
If it still fails, use the Windows 11 ISO for an in-place repair upgrade
This is the most successful method mentioned for repeated 25H2 failures. Use the Windows 11 download page, make sure the ISO language matches the Windows display language, then:
- Disconnect from the internet
- Disconnect all external devices except mouse and keyboard
- Temporarily disable third-party antivirus
- In File Explorer, double-click the ISO
- Run Setup.exe
- Choose the option to keep files and apps
About the Insider Program message
If Windows Update is showing Insider-related prompts after the failed install, that can happen in some upgrade problem scenarios. The supported troubleshooting in the available guidance is to complete the repair install path above rather than continue retrying the same failed Windows Update install.

If the failure message changes to “We couldn't complete the updates. Undoing changes”, check Start > Settings > Windows Update > Update history for the specific failed update and error code.
