Microsoft Outlook draft message error on the problem?

I am using Outlook for Android on a Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 with a Gmail account.

A message is stuck in the Outbox/Drafts and cannot be deleted. The message reappears after restarting Outlook. Sometimes Outlook crashes when I try to delete the message.

I have already tried restarting Outlook, force stopping the app, clearing the cache, and deleting the message, but the issue persists.

Please advise how to remove the stuck message and stop it from reappearing.

    Hi @Jevgeni Polujanov

I understand how frustrating it is when a message keeps reappearing and causes Outlook to crash, especially after you have already restarted the app, force stopped it, and cleared the cache.

Since you are using a Gmail account, please first sign in to Gmail through a web browser and check the Drafts, Outbox, and Trash folders. If the message appears there, delete it and empty the Trash folder.

If the message appears only in Outlook for Android, please try the following steps:

    • In Outlook, go to Settings, select the affected Gmail account, and tap Reset Account.
    • If the issue continues, copy any unsynchronized drafts you want to keep, then go to Settings, select the Gmail account, and tap Remove Account.
    • Restart the tablet, open Outlook, and add the Gmail account again using the Add Google Account option.
    • If the message still reappears, clear Outlook's app data or reinstall the latest version of Outlook from Google Play, then add the account again.

Please note that clearing app data or removing the account may delete drafts that have not synchronized with Gmail, so save any important draft content first.

I hope this helps resolve the issue.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any further updates, thanks.
