If Skype Credit cannot be activated because the billing address update fails, use this sequence:

    1. Open account.live.com and go to Your info.
    2. Verify Language is selected and correct. A missing or invalid language/region setting can block billing address updates.
    3. Verify Country/Region is correct.
    4. Save any profile changes.
    5. Try updating the billing address again.
    6. If it still fails, use an InPrivate/Incognito browser window and try again.
    7. If needed, temporarily change Country/Region to another country, save, then change it back to the correct country and re-enter the billing address.
    8. After the billing info is accepted, try reactivating Skype Credit and then open the Skype Dial Pad again.

    Relevant checks for calling:

    • Make sure the same personal Microsoft/Skype account is signed in that holds the Skype Credit.
    • If the account shows Account blocked, paid services may be suspended temporarily because of payment issues, and billing address information may be required before Skype Dial Pad can be used.
    • Active subscriptions or Skype Credit can be checked by signing in to https://calling.web.skype.com/.
