How to get administrator privilages.

If the game requires elevation, start it with administrator rights:

1. Find the game shortcut or .exe file.
2. Right-click it.
3. Select Run as administrator.
4. If prompted by User Account Control, approve the prompt. If the current account is not an administrator, Windows will ask for an administrator user name and password.

If the current account is not an administrator, start the game as a different administrator account:

1. Hold Shift and right-click the game executable or shortcut.
2. Select Run as different user.
3. Enter the administrator account credentials.

For applications in general, Windows guidance is to avoid running everything elevated all the time. Most apps should run at asInvoker, and elevation should be used only when required.
