To pair hearing aids to a Windows 11 PC, both the PC and the hearing aids must support Bluetooth LE Audio. Hearing aids that use ASHA or MFi are not based on LE Audio and might not pair directly with Windows.
Try this in Quick Settings:
- Turn on the hearing aids and put them in pairing mode / discoverable mode. If needed, use the manufacturer’s instructions.
- On the PC, select the Network, Sound, or Battery icon on the taskbar.
- In the Bluetooth area, select Manage Bluetooth devices.
- Wait for the hearing aids to appear under New devices.
- Select the hearing aids to pair them.
- Follow any extra prompts, then select Done.
If the hearing aids support Swift Pair, Windows may show a notification when they are nearby and discoverable. In that case:
- Put the hearing aids in pairing mode.
- When the Windows notification appears, select Connect.
- If there are two hearing aids, Windows may prompt to connect the second one separately. Select Connect again.
If already paired but not connected:
- Select the Network, Sound, or Battery icon on the taskbar.
- Select Manage Bluetooth devices.
- Select the hearing aids from the paired devices list to connect.
If the hearing aids do not appear or pairing fails:
- Make sure the PC is running Windows 11.
- Make sure the PC has integrated Bluetooth LE support from the factory and LE Audio-capable Bluetooth and audio drivers from the manufacturer.
- If the device is not shown in the Bluetooth list, the Bluetooth devices discovery setting might need to be set to Advanced.
- If the hearing aids are paired but audio does not work, check that sound is playing through the hearing aids in Settings > System > Sound.
- If needed, remove the Bluetooth device and pair it again.
If the hearing aid manufacturer provides specific pairing steps, follow those for putting the hearing aids into discoverable mode.
