If this is a Microsoft personal account subscription, cancel it from the Microsoft account subscriptions page:
- Go to Subscriptions and sign in with the same Microsoft account that was used to start the trial.
- Find the subscription and select Manage.
- Select Cancel or Upgrade or Cancel.
- Follow the prompts to complete cancellation.
If Manage is not available, check these cases:
- If Turn on recurring billing appears, the trial or subscription is already set to expire and there is nothing else to cancel.
- If the subscription was purchased through Google Play or the Apple App Store, cancellation or refund must be handled through their support.
- If it was bought from a third-party retailer or partner, cancellation must be handled through that seller or partner.
If this is a Microsoft 365 business/admin trial, free trials are canceled by turning off recurring billing in the Microsoft 365 admin center. If no payment method is attached, the trial can also simply be allowed to expire at the end of the trial period without charges.
If the account is a work or school account and access is managed by an organization, the organization’s IT admin must cancel or remove the trial.
If a charge already appeared after canceling, cancellations must be made more than 2 days before the billing date.
If the cancellation option still does not appear, use Microsoft support: Contact Microsoft Support.
