We are having issues with teams. I don't think it was setup properly and our recipients are not receiving our emails in teams.

I think Teams itself doesn’t send mail. Everything goes out through Outlook and Exchange anyway. “Teams emails not received” usually ends up being channel mail, a meeting invite, or a notification mail, and all of them rely on Exchange rather than any Teams setup, so you just check the user mailbox, rules, and whether channel email is even enabled in the tenant.

    Hi Clay,

    Thank you for reaching out.

Microsoft Teams is intended for chats, team collaboration, meetings, calls, and file sharing. It is not a replacement for an email application.

To send emails to recipients, please use Microsoft Outlook. Messages sent through Teams will appear in Teams chats or channels rather than in the recipient’s email inbox.

If you are sending emails through Outlook and recipients are still not receiving them, please let me know so I can investigate the email delivery issue.

I hope the information I shared earlier was somewhat helpful in addressing your issue. If you have any further questions or updates, please don’t hesitate to share. I’m always happy to assist further if needed.
