Using Outlook for iOS for personal email and calendar management
If the wrong email address appears on the verification page on the new iPhone, remove the stuck account entry and add only the intended Outlook account again.
- On iPhone, open Settings > Mail > Accounts.
- Select the Outlook account that is showing the wrong verification address.
- Open Account Settings or the Password field, depending on the iOS version.
- Re-enter the correct password for the intended account.
- Tap Done.
- Open the Mail app and check whether mail sync starts.
If the account still shows the administrator email or remains stuck in verification:
- Remove that account from the iPhone.
- Add the account again using only the second family member’s Outlook address.
- If recurring password prompts continue, install the latest Outlook mobile app version.
If this is a Microsoft personal account and sign-in still fails, use the Microsoft sign-in helper tool to identify the account problem and follow the recovery steps it provides: Start
If a verification code prompt appears and the code cannot be sent, use the Microsoft account security info and verification code guidance: Microsoft account security info & verification codes
If the issue is in the iPhone Mail app rather than Outlook for iOS, Microsoft recommends using the Outlook mobile app for email and calendar management.
