My pc is Window11 v 25H2 and up to date.

My bought CD-ROM of Corel Draw7 Select used to run OK, but after a pc crash and recovery I have re-installed it. Although it displays a .CDR file if I try to do anything even with a new file it brings up https://www.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows/end-of-support

What can I do to make it work correctly?

    Hi Brian Fisher,

Based on the information shared, CorelDRAW 7 is an older application that may not fully align with current Windows 11 components after a system recovery and reinstall. Since the program can still open .CDR files but encounters issues when performing actions, the behavior may be related to compatibility or legacy software requirements.

    You can try the following:

    1, Run in Compatibility Mode

    • Right-click CorelDRAW.exe > Properties > Compatibility.
    • Enable Run this program in compatibility mode.
    • Select Windows XP (Service Pack 3) or Windows 98/Me.
    • Click Apply and test again.

    2, Run as Administrator

    • Right-click the CorelDRAW shortcut.
    • Select Run as administrator.

    3, Reinstall Outside Program Files

    • If possible, reinstall to a folder such as C:\CorelDraw7 instead of the default Program Files location.
    • Restart the PC and test the application.

Since this is a long-standing application, compatibility-related behavior can vary between systems, but the Compatibility Mode and administrator options are usually the best first checks.
