    Hello,

Microsoft always recommends that account users have at least three verification methods active. So, even if one method is disabled, you can use another method to sign in.

If you are unable to verify your identity, you will need to replace the Security information on your Microsoft account. That is, on the Verify Your Identity screen, select 'I don't have any of these' and follow the prompts to replace the Security Information.

Note: If you remove all of your previous security information and replace it with something new, your account will be put into a restricted state for 30 days.

*Replace the security information on one Microsoft account first. Once the security information is updated, you should be able to recover both accounts.

    Use this recovery path:

    1. Start with the Sign-in Helper. It checks the account details entered and guides the next recovery step.
    2. If the password is forgotten, use Reset password, enter the Hotmail/Microsoft account username, and select Next.
    3. If the recovery email or phone options shown are not accessible or not recognized, use the Sign-in Helper or sign-in helper tool instead of continuing in the loop.
    4. If the account says it does not exist, carefully check the email address domain and spelling. Microsoft notes that Hotmail, Outlook, and Live accounts can use different domains such as .com and .co.uk. If another alias or phone number exists on the account, use that instead.
    5. If the account still cannot be recovered through normal verification, complete the Account recovery form. Fill it out from a device and location previously used to sign in, such as a usual home or office device/network.

    Important limits:

    • If two-step verification is turned on and none of the alternate verification methods are accessible, support agents cannot reset the password or change account details.
    • Support agents are not allowed to send password reset links or access and change account details.
    • If the username is still not found after checking spelling and domain, contact support through Contact support and report that the username has stopped working.
