    Hi, Deborah Holefca

It sounds like you want to permanently close the second account, not simply remove it from Outlook on your iMac. First, make sure you identify the account correctly so the @outlook.com account is not affected.

Open a private Safari window and visit Microsoft account. Sign in using the address you want to delete. Check the email address shown at the top of the page carefully.

If it opens as a personal Microsoft account, use the Microsoft account closure page. Select Close account, complete the security check, review the warnings, and select Mark account for closure. You can choose a 30-day or 60-day reopening period. Closing it will also remove any OneDrive files, purchases, subscriptions, and other services belonging to that account.

If the address actually ends in @microsoft.com, it is probably a work account. A work or school account normally cannot be deleted by the user. The organization’s IT administrator must delete it.

Before proceeding, sign out and confirm that your @outlook.com address still opens the mailbox you want to keep.

Thank you for your patience in reading, I hope this information has been helpful to you.
