The functionality of Xcel within a shared workbook seems different than that of a non-shared workbook.
Where is the page break feature? Why are the various tools' icons so different looking than that of regular Xcel?

This difference makes NO sense, but it is what it is.
Maybe somebody in MS Worls has a reason for this stupidity, but it makes no obvious sense.

Based on the information you provided, it appears that the Page Break feature is available in a non-shared workbook but is missing when working with a shared workbook.

I've attached screen shots of the ribbons seen in both the shared file and the non-shared Excel files.
We are using OneDrive to preserve our files, currently. We're hoping to move into SharePoint in the future, when funds are available.
When I was working with a co-worker, regarding formatting a page to be printed, she had the same funny looking icons as my screen shot shows, and we could not find the page break preview option. We used print preview to see what was being captured on one page, verses what was flowing into another page--which is one of the purposes of the page break preview.

Thank you for your quick response.
Based on the screenshot of the shared file, I can see that you are using the Excel web version. Please note that Excel for the web has fewer features than the desktop application. To ensure you have access to all Excel features and functionality, please open the file in the Excel desktop app.
Please help me to try it and let me know if you have any updates on this matter.

Microsoft 365 on the web is a browser-based version of the Office applications, while the desktop applications provide the full feature set available through a Microsoft 365 subscription. As a result, some features is not available in the web version.
In addition to feature limitations, the web apps also depend on browser compatibility and a stable internet connection. Certain advanced functions, add-ins, macros, file integrations, and formatting options may not be fully supported in the web environment. Performance can also vary depending on the browser being used and local browser settings, such as extensions, cached data, or security policies.
For the best experience and access to the complete set of features, Microsoft generally recommends using the desktop applications when available.
