How to stop automatic Quick Print in an MS Access macro.

We have a macro that runs and is set to automatically "print" documents as it completes tasks. There are three of us who run these macros at any given time. I recently received a new computer and now my macros quick print to the physical printer instead of Save as PDF, allowing me to save to our drive. The other two users do not have this issue and we cannot find where my settings differ. Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi,

    George already explained that you would have to change your default printer.

    I just want to add the ExportWithFormatting macro action as an alternative. In contrast to the PrintOut action it creates PDF files (and other types) from Access objects directly and thus would avoid the printer dependency.

    Based on what we see in the macro, the most likely problem I can think of is that the default printer for your installation is set to the physical printer, not the pdf printer. I'm not sure that makes sense because you are printing from the datasheet view of a query, not a report. I'd investigate that, though, as a first step.
